On 27.10. 2022 Vitosha Nature Park celebrates its 88th anniversary.
Vitosha Nature Park is the first park in Bulgaria and on the Balkan Peninsula. On 27.10.1934, with the active participation of the Bulgarian nature protection community, a part of the Vitosha mountain with an area of 6410 hectares was declared a park. The boundaries of the park have changed several times and today they cover the entire mountain with an area of over 27,000 ha.
On the occasion of the holiday on October 27, the Directorate of Vitosha Nature Park under the Forestry Executive Agency organized two hiking trips for young and old. Two routes have been prepared in which you can participate:
1. First route (from 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
- from the Arboretum (bus stop) to the Children's Ecostation "Beli Brezi" - suitable for participants from all ages.
2. Second route (from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.)
- from Dendrarium (bus stop) - h. "Beli Brezi" - the town of Studen Kladenets - the village of Vladaya - the town of Tihiya kut - the district of Kniazhevo (last stop of tram No. 5).
This transition will take place with the assistance of the Bulgarian Mountaineering Union and the non-governmental organization Lunatic Walks.
