NEWS / An open lesson on protecting forests from fires was held by experts from the Rila Monastery Nature Park
Experts from the Directorate of the Rila Monastery Nature Park held a second open lesson on protecting forests from fires with 15 children from the preparatory group of the "Alen Mak" Kindergarten, Kocherinovo.
Eng. Dimitar Grigorov - director and Eng. Nikola Hristov - deputy director of the park introduced the little nature lovers to the importance of forests, how harmful fires are to people, the forest and forest dwellers.
Junior expert Dimitar Petkov - Head of the Department of Fire Safety and Protection of the Population of the Rila Monastery introduced the students to the rules of safety in the forest, the main causes of forest fires and behavior during a fire. The most attractive part was the fire fighting demonstration.
The event is part of the National Campaign "Irresponsibility is the most dangerous spark" of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the Forestry Executive Agency to protect forests from fires.
