An exhibition of drawings by children from 60 countries was opened in the Rila Monastery. The event, organized by the Rila Monastery Nature Park Directorate, is the final part of the Eighth World Children's Drawing Competition, organized by the Foundation Little Painter. The theme of this year's competition is "Green Planet".
Every year, the Malak Zograf Foundation awards medals to children whose paintings are ranked first, second and third. The medals are handed over to the distinguished children from abroad to representatives of the embassies of their countries.
Traditionally, at the opening of the exhibition, special awards are given to people and institutions for their support for children from Bulgaria and the world. Such an award was presented to His Eminence the Abbot of the Rila Monastery - Bishop Evlogii, who honored the event. The opening of the exhibition was also attended by representatives of embassies, the mayor of Rila Municipality, the director of Forestry "Rila Monastery", director of Nature park "Rila Monastery" and many other guests.
In addition to medals and certificates, the awarded children also received gifts, including the book of the Rila Monastery Nature Park, issued on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the park.
